Customize any Heroes’ Hoard cloak with a beautiful, colorful lining! Available in either smooth satin, lightweight cotton, warm flannel, or luxurious velvet, a lining adds a customized feel to any cloak without adding excessive weight.
Fabric Choices
- Satin is shiny, pretty, and has many color options. It is also more likely to slip off your head due to its smooth texture. Can be used for fantasy or general costume use, not recommended for period-appropriate wear.
- Cotton is lightweight, soft, and available in many colors. It wrinkles easily and may lead to odd lumps outside the hood if not smoothed. Can be used for period-appropriate clothing (any rank from peasant to nobility) as cotton is a natural fabric or for general costume use. It is preferable in lighter weight cloaks or for spring/summer.
- Flannel is soft, warm, and lightweight. It might be too warm for spring or summer wear. Like regular cotton, flannel can be used for period-appropriate clothing or general costumes as it is a natural fiber, and is suitable for fall/winter temperatures.
- Velvet is soft and gives a cloak a more ‘royal’ feel. This lining fabric may get crushed down over the lifespan of the cloak. Can be used for period-appropriate clothing or general costume use, but suggested for only nobility, royalty, or other similar costumes.
Lining Details
- Linings are sewn to the inside of the hood with no seams shown.
- Neck seams are sewn flat to prevent uncomfortable bulk and fraying.
- Adding a lining does NOT mean your cloak is no longer washable! All linings offered can be washed with their attached cloak (just follow the instructions included with your cloak).
