This renaissance-style hat is simple, comfortable, and poofy – an accessory that will go with just about any Renaissance/Medieval costume. This feathered hat fits around the head with no elastic and is made of a sturdy but lightweight poly (faux)-suede called “alova”. Should you choose the ‘add a feather’ option, a decorative feather is permanently sewn into the edge of the band to complete the look. This particular style was historically used by men, but for your average renaissance faire or cosplay it fits comfortably and looks amazing on any gender!
This hat was originally made via a request from my husband for a ‘jaunty hat’ to attend our local renaissance faire in.
Care Notes
- Hats WITH feathers are NOT machine washable, as the feathers are permanently attached and will be destroyed in the wash.
- Hats withOUT feathers are machine washable (cold gentle cycle, tumble dry low)

- Measurements: Hat opening measures roughly 23″ around. ‘Poof’ is gathered circle roughly 22″ in diameter. Band is 1.25″ wide.
- Fabric: 100% Polyester Alova Suedecloth; a lighter, slightly more breathable material than microsuede; durable and soft.
- Color Options: Black, Dark Red, Gray, Green, Navy, Tan, Brown, Cream, Gold, Purple
- Feather: Varying colors and lengths, chosen to compliment your chosen hat color.
