Medical Needs

Embroidery and other items dealing with medical diagnosis.

In 2020, my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. A year later, he was diagnosed with celiac disease (related to diabetes). Because it was the middle of the COVID pandemic, we had little social support nearby and no opportunity for communication with parents in similar situations. Since then, we have thankfully made several wonderful connections in the T1D community, but the idea that someone newly diagnosed might feel as alone as we did makes my heart hurt.

While it is not exactly adventurey-themed, diabetes visibility is something I want to help with in any way I can, however small it may be. Thus, all proceeds from sales of items on this page will be donated to the JDRF Foundation.

Visibility is important for all affected by this condition, adults and children alike. Please consider supporting our cause.
